My First local train travel all by myself

It was not long before that I wished I wanted my lone time. I was missing something terribly. My new friend mentioned about train travel. I was always skeptical about local train travel and never explored it. Not because I dint like it but because I had the fear of getting lost due to lack of directions. I thought to myself it was time for new travel mode. This can give me my lone time back.

I made my mind and took a rick to Kodambakkam station. All strangers at the station running towards their destination. I caught the passerby at the store and asked for the way to ticket counter. You ay think I am dumb not to know this even after so many years in Chennai. I have no shame to confess though. I bought a to and fro ticket to Beach station. Happily boarded the train that reached in less than 5 mins. Got down at Beach station. Headed in the direction that all people were running and to my surprise bumped into the TC. Good for me, she directed me to the ticket counter for next travel and also the platform. I boarded the train and thoroughly enjoyed my travel to Tharamani.

I must say every first time experience is amazing. It dint make a difference when I was in my 20s it doesn’t matter now when I am in my 30s. First time experience is list ice cream melting in mouth.
I took the same the same route back home and felt as though I had was at the border fighting enemies and have got the victory over the war. Seriously, felt too kiddish. From the enxt day the rick idea also scrapped. I parked my vehicle at the kodambakkam station. The journey seemed very short everytime.

It is an hour’s journey nevertheless worth the effort: I get my lone time, I spend less and I am WALKING. Hell of a happiness.

Until the next First again, buh bye!

MGM, a wonder trip with wonderful people

It was a week before we set the ball rolling. Whoa! Not an event but a plan. Tour plan. A tour with friends to MGM dizzee world. I had been a spoil sport at many or should I confess all occasions and never been with them. Somehow felt as though the world will collapse without me acting on anything important. This I believe most adults think.

The excitement was on for a week. We kept the momentum going even though the size reduced from 8 to 5. Praveen couldn’t resist admin instincts and organized for offer coupons to save a little on entry fee. The excitement grew when we all decided on the time.

Satz and Praveen are perfect ditchers w.r.t keeping time. I started pestering Kimmai to start early. She is a killer I tell you. She nailed it right stating these fellas will not reach on time. We were supposed to meet at Adyar L B Road by 8 am and it got post poned to 8.30 am and finally settled for 9.00 am.

I reached by bus to Kimmai’s place at 8.45 am. Kimmai was swift to come to bus stop when I mentioned my arrival. We took the bus till T.Nagar and then the bus to Adyar. The journey seemed so smooth. As how I mentioned Sats and Praveen to be ditchers, I realized it after this experience. Lazy bones started from their homes only at 09.30 am.Kimmai starred at me and it was clear she would have definitely used profane language but sparing me for being elder. Such a wise person I tell you. :)

We waited for about 45 minutes and finally the restless ME couldn’t hold it any more. I called satz to confirm when he would arrive. For once, he reached as mentioned and the 4 of us we off to MGM in a cab. We reached there to see Praveen with tickets purchased. No more delay and we went through the gates that were not crowded. Bezy was experiencing MGM for the first time. The rest of us were experts. But I must say, she was the one who enjoyed all rides.

We hogged at MB for lunch. Kimmai had lost it for me. How do I say so? The day was too early becus of me. While ordering food, I cautioned her not to use the debit card, she forcefully paid through the card. And alas!!! The machine crashed but the message from ICICI got her into panic not revealed though. I looked at her and the plain cold expression. Satti paid through cash. We waited for about half hour. We had more company at the lunch table. 2 different species though. We then headed to the most thriller experience. The BOATING. I can imagine the fury on the face of Kimmai and Praveen, if they are reading this. I dint know pedaling and mentioned would accompany with one of the groups. The 2 honored and lucky ppl turned out to be Praveen and Kimmai. The boat moved through the dirtiest of waters we could have seen. Funny the boat was. No matter how hard the lever was pushed to the left by Praveen and the pedalers did their job, the boat will move to the right. I kept the pedalers motivated constantly.

Satz and Bezy were cheaters they anjoyed the thuds their boat felt bcus of our boat. They swam back before us. Once back to shore I was feeling good. Kimmai and Praveen had plans to drown me in the dirty water for no mistake of mine . :)

The drive back till Adyar was classic. Dark chocolate, Antakshiri and Kimmai’s stare. Bezy YOU ARE A SINGER!!!

We reached home and shared pics. Lovely memories.

We are ready for the next expedition.
